The Masai Mara is Africa's premier safari destination while Lake Nakuru is one of the few safari parks in East Africa that gives you the chance of seeing multiple rhinos.
During this safari, you’ll be living inside the game reserves. This will give you the best chance to spot all of Africa’s exotic safari animals, including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino & buffalo). You may even hear these animals as you relax around an open fire, eat dinner under the stars or from the safety of your luxury safari tent.Here is a sneak peak at your luxury tented safari camp.

About the Masai Mara
The Mara adjoins the infamous Serengeti National Park and is home to the greatest natural spectacle on earth - The Great Migration. It is also home to huge populations of big cats. Covering more than 1,500 square kilometres and home to 80 different species of mammals and more than 450 varieties of birds, everyone must do a safari in the Masai Mara at least once in their lifetime!
About the Lake Nakuru
Nestled in Kenya's Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers alike. Home to flocks of vibrant flamingos that adorn its alkaline lake, the park also boasts diverse landscapes, from savannahs to woodlands, offering encounters with lions, rhinos, and giraffes amid breathtaking scenery.
Explore the sights and sounds of Africa’s largest slum. Meet the life changing Mirror of Hope, visit the home of our sponsor students, meet their family and learn how to cook a delicious Kenyan feast. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse in Kenyan culture, practice your Swahili and get to know some of the most resilient and remarkable people on the planet.
The Mirror of Hope (MOH) was founded in 2010 by Tommy & Judy Nyawir, to empower vulnerable women & children living in the Kibera Slums. MOH achieves their mission through the implementation of a range of innovative health, education and entrepreneurship initiatives. We first visited MOH in 2015 and we have been supporting them ever since.

Visit the world famous David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage (open 11am - 12pm) and the Nairobi Giraffe Centre (open 9am - 5pm). This is your chance to get up-close-and-personal with these incredible animals and learn about the wonderful conservation work these organisations are doing.
If you add this option (best before safari), your driver will collect you from your hotel at 10:00am and take you to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to line up for the 11am - 12pm session (this is the only available time each day so best you arrive by 10:30am at the latest).
At 12pm, you will have a chance to purchase souvenirs before heading to the life-changing Kazuri Beads, a fantastic little charity empowering women through craft. At Kazuri Beads, you will take a quick tour and have an opportunity to shop before having lunch (see notes below). After lunch, you will head to the Giraffe Centre before going back to your hotel.
Notes:
Located on the banks of the World's Second Largest Fresh Water Lake is Gombe National Park. With less than 2,000 visitors each year, Gombe is one of Africa's best kept secrets. It is also our favourite African adventure!
During this adventure, you will be trekking with chimps, exploring giant waterfalls, boating on Lake Tanganyika, fishing for dinner and relaxing by the lake with a bottle of wine watching a perfect sunset - and don't worry if you can't catch your dinner, your personal chef has you covered. Note about Jane:
Jane Goodall occasionally visits Gombe but may not be there when you visit. You will still have the opportunity to hear Jane's story and walk in the footsteps of one of the most inspirational, "bad-ass" women the world has ever seen. Mountain gorillas live in forests at elevations of 2,000 - 4,000m. They have thicker fur than other great apes which helps them to survive in a habitat where temperatures often drop below freezing. There are approximately 1,000 of these fascinating creatures left in the world and Bwindi National Park in Uganda is home to about 400 of them. This hand-crafted adventure is your chance to trek with one of the most unique animals on the planet.
