The Nairobi Bridge Club is a vibrant hub for bridge enthusiasts in Nairobi, Kenya. About the Great Migration
The Great Migration is the annual migration of more than 1 million wildebeest through the Masai Mara in Kenya and the Serengeti in Tanzania. During Jul - Oct each year, the herds are in the Northern Serengeti & Masai Mara. This is the best time to see them making their famous river crossings. It is also a fantastic time of year to spot big cats, many of whom have also migrated following their food source. From Nov - Jun, the herd migrates through the Serengeti following the rain. Jan - Mar is a particularly good time to safari, as the huge herd welcomes the arrival of thousands of baby wildebeest. The newborn calves are easy prey for big cats, which makes for easy spotting of these magnificent creatures.
About the Masai Mara (note: the word Maasai was incorrectly spent when the Masai Mara was given it's name and has never been fixed)
The Masai Mara is home to huge populations of big cats, and has the highest concentration of big cats in Africa. Covering more than 1,500 square kilometres, the Masai Mara is home to approximately 900 lion, 300 cheetah and 100 leopard. It is also home to more than 80 different species of mammals and more than 450 varieties of birds. It is no wonder it is one of Africa's best safari parks, and a must-see for anyone going on safari!
About Nairobi National Park
The Nairobi National Park is the only safari park in Africa where you can snap a picture of a giant white or black rhino with a skyscraper in the background. Located in the heart of Nairobi, this national park is a sanctuary for rhinos and is the fantastic place to start your African adventure. This park is also home to large cats, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, various antelopes and many different bird species.

Meet the life changing Mirror of Hope, visit the home of one of Adventure Out Loud's sponsor students, meet their family and learn how to cook a delicious Kenyan feast. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse in Kenyan culture, practice your Swahili and get to know some of the most resilient and remarkable people on the planet.
The Mirror of Hope (MOH) was founded in 2010 by Tommy & Judy Nyawir, to empower vulnerable women & children living in the Kibera Slums. MOH achieves their mission through the implementation of a range of innovative health, education and entrepreneurship initiatives. We first visited MOH in 2015 and we have been supporting them ever since.

The African Fund for Endangered Wildlife is fighting hard to conserve the Rothschild giraffe. When the project was founded in 1979, there were less than 300 of these magnificent animals remaining in the wild. Today, there are believed to be about 2,500 Rothschild giraffes living in the wild, and this centre has played a vital educational and fundraising role, with 90% of the money collected from entrance fees being used for conservational activities.
During your visit to the giraffe centre, you'll get the chance to feed a few of the habituated giraffes. This is particularly fun if Ed, the dominant male, is around, because he is the only giraffe who will take the food from your lips, giving you a big old kiss at the same time. The Maasai are a nomadic tribe found across East Africa. The Maasai are most iconic for their colourful clothing and interesting traditions. Historically the Maasai are grazers with large herds of cattle, sheep & goats. Today is your chance to learn about and immerse into this unique culture. Take a tour around the Boma, see inside a local mud hut, and meet these interesting, nomadic people.
